Reload

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

Reload is a Chrome extension. It clears data that a website stored in your browser, then reloads that website. This page explains what it can access and what it does with it.

Summary

What it does

When you press Clear & Reload, Reload removes the items you selected for the site in your current tab: its cache storage, cookies, local storage, session storage or IndexedDB databases. It then reloads the tab and skips the browser cache. The data is deleted. It is not read, copied or sent anywhere.

Permissions

PermissionWhy Reload needs it
activeTabTo act on the tab you are looking at when you click the icon.
scriptingTo clear the site's cache storage, local storage, session storage and IndexedDB from inside the page.
cookiesTo remove the cookies of the current site.
Access to all websitesChrome requires it to remove cookies. Reload uses it only for the site in your current tab, only after you press the button.

Data stored by Reload

Reload saves one thing: whether you picked the light or dark theme for its popup. That setting stays in the extension's own storage on your device. Nothing else is saved.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will show the new version and date.
